Airbus's answer to the 787 went bigger: a mostly-composite airframe wrapped around the Trent XWB, the most efficient large turbofan Rolls-Royce has ever built. The ultra-long-range -900ULR flew the world's longest scheduled route, Singapore–New York, at nearly 19 hours. It's the flagship of choice for a generation of premium carriers — and arguably the best-looking widebody flying.
